I was born in New York City to African parents. I am currently a student at Hunter College pursuing a degree in Economics and considering a minor in International Relations and Media. My ultimate goal is to complete a BA/MA program for Economics.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Marketing and Advertising of TedxCUNY where I manage the distribution of information to over 500,000 CUNY students spread across 23 campuses and beyond. I also volunteer for Project Sunshine, a non-profit organization where we console anxious, young hospital patients and stressed parents by providing items such as books or arts and craft materials to distract themselves from present situations.

Previously, I worked as an Administrative Intern for both Imperative, a career development platform, and Adam Leitman Bailey PC, a real estate law firm, where I maintained the organization of office information using Google doc spreadsheets and an organized filing method to improve work efficiency, respectively. My other experiences include writing for the local Brooklyn paper, Our Time Press, where I conducted extensive research and met tight deadlines for articles while managing tough interviewees.

My experiences have allowed me to explore my various interests ranging from media to marketing to nonprofit work and more. Ultimately, I hope that through the New York Fellows Program I will further explore my interests in order to narrow them down or combine them into a fitting future career for me. I have already received support from the America Needs You team and look forward to two years of working with them along with my Mentor Coach, my fellow Fellows and more.
