I am currently a student at New York City College of Technology pursuing majors in Hospitality Management and Japanese Language Studies. I have been passionate about languages and the service industry ever since I was a child. I enjoy meeting and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, and greeting and helping guests provides me with a great level of satisfaction.
My professional goal after receiving my degree is to successfully work in a hotel or an airline company. I am also planning to study Labor Relations after graduation and recently studied abroad in Kyoto, Japan. This provided many opportunities to experience true Japanese culture and allowed me to make friends worldwide. Besides that, it also strengthened my determination to master the Japanese language. In terms of past experience, I have volunteered for different hospitality-related events in New York City such as Harvest in the Square, U.S. Premiere of Chianti Classico’s Gran Selezione and Malbec World Day 2014. Working as a volunteer for different areas of the industry has provided me with a deeper understanding of my future career.
As a first-generation college student, I wholeheartedly understand the value of mentorship. Through working with my Mentor Coach, I seek to improve and develop both personal and interpersonal skills as a young leader. In the family of America Needs You, I have the opportunity to expand my professional network and explore many options within the hospitality field. As a result, I will be able to find the right career path and reach my fullest potential.
