Altamush

Coming to the United States from Pakistan, I am truly fortunate to have an ability to get a good education and use it as a foundation for a better life.  Understanding that a new beginning brings endless possibilities, I had to make the most of my opportunities. After earning my Bachelor of Science in nursing at Robert Morris University, I plan to both gain work experience and obtain my master’s within four years.

My goal is to be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with a focus on children’s needs.   Currently, I am an active member of Student Support Services at my school which offers first-generation and economically challenged college students many opportunities both academically and outside of school. My ultimate goal after becoming a nurse is to give back to the community with my skills and actions.

As a passionate and open-minded student, ANY will allow me to expand my leadership and networking skills to make a greater impact on the community. I expect and believe my Mentor Coach will help me acquire and refine skillsets so I can fulfill my ambitious personal goals. I am proud and honored to be part of the America Needs You Fellows Program 2016!
