Amanda

I am a student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick in the Class of 2018 working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I am pursuing a career in medicine by exploring what it means to become a patient advocate, as well as exploring opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

I am committed to helping others and serving my community, having spent my high school summers doing volunteer work.  During an internship at the Holy Name Medical Center, I learned how to care for physically-disabled patients. I also gained a better appreciation for my own health, and learned how to empathize with those that were not as fortunate.  Throughout my experience at Holy Name, my passion for healthcare grew.  I’ve made connections with individuals through positive experiences in the workplace, school, and volunteer work.  I look forward to discovering a career in either medicine or the pharmaceutical industry.
