Over the course of the four years I attended Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory High School, I saw a tremendous amount of growth in myself. It wasn’t until I attended Christ the King that I developed a deep passion for service. I seek service opportunities in not only my community, but also in the career field I want to pursue.
My passion for service has stemmed my profound interest in pursuing a career in the medical field, specifically the study of gynecology. I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. Observing my mother in the health field and how she interacted with women she worked with sparked my interest in gynecology. I have had the pleasure of working with an organization called HealthConnect One. HealthConnect One is a non-profit organization that consists of midwives and doulas who provide community-based, peer-to-peer support for pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and early parenting. Interacting with the midwives and doulas at this organization continued to feed my passion for gynecology.
In being a Fellow, I plan to take full advantage of the support and resources that are provided to me. More importantly, I look forward to having a great relationship with my Mentor Coach. I hope the we continuously learn from one another as they aid me in meeting my personal and career goals.
