I am currently a student at Baruch College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and minors in Psychology and Marketing. I am the son of immigrant parents, my mother being from the Dominican Republic and my father being from Bangladesh. Experiencing two different cultures and having a great support system with my family taught me the importance of working hard and taking advantage of any opportunities available. Music and sports were outlets that connected my family as a whole and my passion for both shaped my career interests.
I am involved on campus as the Vice President of Public Relations for Marketers of Baruch and a member of WBMB Baruch College Radio. Through these involvements, I have been able to grow as a professional music producer and a marketer. I enjoy marketing and creating music because you can create works or experiences that truly resonate with people. My passions have provided a creative outlet for me and are ways that I hope to impact others. I am inspired by artists who are successful entrepreneurs and hope to use my music as an avenue to one day create my own company.
As an America Needs You Fellow I hope to learn from the diverse array of Mentor Coaches, staff, and Fellows. The program’s emphasis on community and growth resonated with me and is why I was glad to join. I truly appreciate being a 2016 New York Fellow.
