Moving from South Korea to Chile and then to the United States, my family has been able to call many places home. My parents have always emphasized the importance of getting what you want in life but remembering to have fun along the way. This mantra has helped me to live life as a determined and happy individual.
I am currently in the Macaulay Honors Program at Queens College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with minors in Business and Liberal Arts. I firmly believe that technology is a great tool that enhances our society. I love all things tech and want to become a skilled programmer who creates software that can make life better for everyone. Even if I don’t become the next Bill Gates, I hope to make a difference in someone’s life.
America Needs You provides the chance for me to truly understand myself and my goals, while I also build meaningful relationships in the community. I view the workshops, internships, and Mentor Coaches as opportunities to expose myself to new environments and to grow on both a personal and professional level. As a Fellow, I hope to give back to the program and its participants as I learn and develop myself over the years. More than anything else, I hope to make lifelong friends who will continue to support me even after the program. I am truly excited to be a part of the world’s future.
