Raised in a single-parent home in my community, there were problems at every corner. My mother did everything she could to shield me from all of the outside distractions. I was able to solely focus on my grades and my future because of her. That experience drives my desire to succeed.
I currently attend Baruch College where I plan on majoring in Finance. My interest comes from speaking to older students who have finished multiple internships and had great experiences within finance. I found their experiences very intriguing. I decided to expand my knowledge and explore finance to build on my curiosity. I began doing research and became fascinated about investing and M&A deals. I used the knowledge that I gained to join Baruch’s Investment Management Group, a student-run real money fund with over $250,000 assets under management. And further, I am interning at Fitch Ratings in their global product development team to gain even more exposure to the field of finance.
My goals are to graduate college and have a long career in either investment banking or equity research. With my work ethic and passion along with the guidance and education from America Needs You, I will be successful in achieving my goals. I hope to eventually be successful enough to make a huge impact for students like myself in the future.
