Antuanett

I was born and raised in Peru until I was 13 years old. In 2011, my mom and I moved to the United States to pursue freedom and opportunities. From my mom, I learned the value of hard work, efficiency, and willpower. As a single mom, she devoted her life to working towards giving me a better future. She has instilled in me the importance of education by supporting and motivating me throughout my professional and personal life.

I am a student at Kean University working toward a degree in Psychology. I’m currently working as an Information Desk Assistant at Kean University’s Miron Student Center. During my sophomore year, I was elected student council representative. As part of the student government, I focused on connecting students and faculty to a productive, academic, social and professional life. My goal is to continue my education, develop different skills, and give back by assisting others with my knowledge. I am now exploring different organizations and industries that I would like to pursue upon graduation.

I have the honor of being a part of the America Needs You program. America Needs You will give me the opportunity to grow, learn and be creative. I hope to grow my professional network, improve my public speaking abilities and enhance my leadership skills. I am determined to keep moving towards my goals while helping others.
