With the thought of being able to one day say that I was the first person in my family to graduate from college, I need no other motivation to excel in my college career. I pride myself on being trilingual; speaking Soninke, Arabic, and of course English. Hailing originally from Seattle, Washington, I want nothing more than to successfully graduate college and have a successful career that I enjoy.

I am currently enrolled in Baruch College where I am majoring in Corporate Communications. Ultimately, my main goal is to not only graduate college, but also to work for a corporation in their communications sector. I became interested in business communications through my search to find a major that I truly thought I would enjoy and do well in. When I sat down with one of the professors in the field, I realized that my personality and varied interests are a perfect fit for this major. My hunger for learning more about the field and gaining the necessary experience has led me to take on two communications roles on campus; one being the Communications Chair for Baruch’s Peer Mentor program as well as being the Director of Communications for Baruch’s Search for Education Elevation and Knowledge (S.E.E.K.) Society.

With ANY, I hope to benefit from all the professional development we receive  as well forming a network of professionals in different fields. Ultimately, I wish to take all that I learn and translate this into internship and job opportunities.
