Barsis

Barsis

I was born in Egypt, but my parents moved our family to the United States when I was ten years old so all of their children would have a better education. I am a student at Rutgers University-Newark in the Class of 2018, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. I’ve been interested in mathematics since I was a young girl because I am fascinated with how numbers play a part in our daily lives.  We cannot live without numbers.  I enjoy solving all types of math problems, and I hope to make math a fun subject for future generations by becoming a math professor. Math is such a unique language, and I look forward to teaching others how to communicate in it without the need of learning a new language.

I’ve worked as a teacher’s assistant in mathematics, where I shared my math knowledge and teaching skills with high school students. I am eager to continue my teaching career in mathematics, and I look forward to getting a PhD in Mathematics.
