Growing up in Manhattan, my family always supported any decision I made. This guidance helped me realize who I was and what I wanted to be. I currently attend Baruch College where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Quantitative Modeling. On campus I am a member of the Urban Male Leadership Academy Scholars Program and its Recruiting and Presentation committee.
I have a true passion for sports and mathematics. With this, I have my sights set on working in the field of sports analytics. My whole life has been witness to a mother that has worked harder than anyone I’ve ever known to provide for a family of four. Because of this, I am driven to become a Statistician and meet my goal of paying back my mother for all she has done for me.
As a strong student and leader within my community, America Needs You will allow me to develop the leadership skills necessary to have a positive impact on the people around me as well as understand my true career path. With the help of my Mentor Coach, I am certain I can achieve my professional and personal goals. I am honored to be a 2016 New York Fellow.
