I am a member of Bloomfield College’s Class of 2018, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I am pursuing a career in education policy, inspired by my experiences growing up in Irvington, NJ as well as the classes I’ve enjoyed in school. Not just in my community, but across the country, there is a lack of quality education options available to children. Following college, I hope to work with an organization that improves high school graduation rates or increases the number of students entering and graduating from college. Ultimately, I hope to open a community center offering mentoring and a variety of programs to meet the academic and non-academic needs of students and their families. My contribution to society will be to ensure that anyone growing up in hardship – as I did – will have access to needed resources that were not available to me.
