Emily

Emily

As a child, I saw how hard my parents worked to support my five sisters and me. This made me appreciate the value of education and realize how important it is to have access to the right resources and support. It also allowed me to see the relationship between home and school. This experience led me to my career interest in school psychology.

As a student, I strive to take advantage of the great tutoring services offered on my campus, and now I am on the other side as a tutor for Early Scholars Learning Center. I realize how much I thrive in a school environment, and how much I enjoy working with students. I am glad to have already gained experience by administering psychological and intellectual tests to students. I have also learned how to adapt my teaching style to my understanding of the issues children face academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am honored to be a part of the ANY community. I know that I will face challenges in the future, but I will have a support network to help guide me. The networking and internship experiences, along with the one-on-one relationship with my Mentor Coach will allow me to continue to grow academically, professionally, and socially.
