Growing up in a family of five in Queens, New York, I would always see my father work long hours to support his family. I admired how he would never complain about the various hardships endured in his life. As a result, this has motivated me to work hard and dream big. My ambitions have led me to seek out sales roles at an early age, take business-related courses in school, compete and win business competitions, and take leadership opportunities very seriously. It has even helped me gain an internship at the United Nations Federal Credit Union as a Lending Operations Analyst right after high school.
I am a student at the Borough of Manhattan Community College majoring in Business Administration. I intend to transfer to a four-year school so that I can obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance.
Becoming an America Needs You Fellow is truly a privilege. I am thankful everyday for this opportunity because I know that the program will equip me with the skills necessary to pursue my goals, build long-lasting connections, and work alongside other highly motivated individuals. I look forward to learning from my peers and to helping others in my community as I embark on this incredible journey that is the America Needs You Fellows Program.
