At an early age, achieving higher standards of success while maintaining close familial relationships were ideals I’ve followed. Naturally curious, and currently 19, I grew up in the predominantly Hispanic community of Inglewood in Los Angeles, California. My curiosity led me to areas such as computer programming, music production, auto mechanics and exploring the great outdoors with my family.
I continue to explore and strive for success. Currently, I am a second year student at the University of California-San Diego (UCSD), studying international business with a minor in digital film production. During my second year, I want to get involved in more extracurricular activities with a business focus and gain an internship or research position with the business or economics department.
My first year of higher education was definitely not an easy transition, but with the continued support of America Needs You I will be able to persevere and reach my long term goals. I will remain curious, committed, and connected to family which will ensure my success not only at UCSD, but for years to come.
