I am a second year at California Polytechnic University, Pomona working towards a degree in Landscape Architecture. I am interested in designing sustainable, attractive landscapes that promote pedestrian use and social activity. In fact, during my first quarter as a freshman, I was in a group that redesigned the utilization and layout of Figueroa St. in Highland Park; our design was exceptional enough to be addressed to the Highland Park Transportation Committee by one of the professors, Daveed Kapur.
Part of the reason why I have decided to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture is my love for the living environment; I enjoy being outdoors and exploring my surroundings whether it be through traveling, hiking or running, or meandering through a forest. My passion for the outdoors drives me to be successful in my endeavors because of my desire to retain the beauty, serenity, and naturalistic aspects that the environment encapsulates—it is my mission to have others experience landscapes through constant interaction and congregations while appreciating its complexity and applications to the modern world.
