I attend Essex County College, working towards an Associate’s degree in Biology. I will transfer to a four-year school to earn a Bachelor’s degree. As an individual that values helping, healing, and guiding others, I am passionate about healthcare and patient care. I have always been amazed at the great things that the field of medicine has been able to accomplish.  I value expanding my knowledge of medicine as well as other areas of study.  My career goal is to become an accomplished Physician’s Assistant and help my community.  Once I gain experience in my field, I want to work in or start a non-profit that can provide affordable and quality healthcare to the community.

I volunteered at the nurse’s office in a community school as part of my clinical site exploration for the Health Occupation Students of America. This experience increased my compassion and desire to work in patient involvement. Additionally, I am involved in a Japanese Honor Society that, paired with my practical and academic experiences, has expanded my cultural competency and my understanding of patient care.
