Being the oldest in my large family, I had to take on a lot of responsibility and learn to become a helping hand. I think this is why I enjoy giving back to my community and helping others in need. By obtaining a college degree not only will I accomplish my dream of becoming a lawyer but I will be able to help my community and those in need. I am currently a political science major at Northeastern Illinois University and eventually will attend law school.

During my senior year in high school I decided to volunteer to help for my high school teacher’s campaign for alderman. I was moved by his ideas for making change, and felt inspired to become a person that is the driving force behind change. I realized I wanted to focus my education in law.

In order to achieve my goal of becoming a lawyer, I need to graduate with my bachelor’s degree and attend law school. ANY provides me with a network of mentors who are willing to share their path to their success. I joined ANY so that I can become a mentor to other students that are not sure what to do in the future. I hope to inform them of all the potential opportunities that exist, such as ANY. I am very excited and honored to be a part of ANY.
