Jhonatan

At the age of 13, I knew creativity and service were going to be a big part of my life because I was raised by a family that migrated from Colombia for a better future. Even before planning to major in Computer Science and Business at Drew University, I knew that this career choice could push me to the limits and have my ideas come to life.

I’ve started working towards my career aspirations of becoming a Software Engineer since I wrote my first line of code. In the meantime, I have gained experience programming a Raspberry Pi at an internship and have been part of a Robotics program in South Korea over the summer.  My fascinations in new hobbies like FPV Drone Racing, Robotics, programming Raspberry Pi’s, and Arduino’s have shown me that I can change the world in my own way. All of this will fuel my ultimate goal of developing advanced robotics that will improve the life and tasks of people so that they can lead a healthy and safe life.

My main goal for my time at America Needs You is to develop leadership abilities that will help me connect with and inspire people because in my field, it takes a team to build revolutionary products or services. Through ANY’s program, I will be able to gain knowledge from industry professionals on how to lead.
