I am the youngest child out of three, but the first to be born in America. Although, my family was born and raised in Vietnam, they came to America to find a better life. I overcame difficult task from the start by learning three different languages – English, Vietnamese, and Cantonese. My ability to persevere through various challenges made me believe that the road to a better future could start anywhere and often involve helping others.
I am a rising sophomore at Monmouth University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, with the goal of helping others through coding to create new ideals that can reinvent the future of gaming. My early memories began with Final Fantasy. In this fantasy world, I was inspired to help others who can count on gaming to recreate their own virtual reality. Since my mother worked all day, my brother went into the military to help the family, and my sister moved on with her own life, this virtual world became my focus. Learning from games helped me to continue to understand the real world through reinventing the wheel of time, developing new ideas making the future possible through new games and consoles.
I believe that gaming will help people relax and give people faith in a better future. I want to help others in any way possible and gaming appears to be the calling. Looking back, I see a lot of my growth through gaming and look forward to my future in it too.
