I currently attend Queens College with a minor in Business and Liberal Arts. I am interested in a career as an educator because I want to inspire and guide others. I am also interested in marketing because of the emphasis on creativity and teamwork. As I complete my coursework, I will continue to keep an open mind and explore my interests further.
In high school, I overcame financial hardships through perseverance and turning to the people I trust. I also prioritized developing my interests by volunteering with the Global Kids Human Rights Activist Project as well as the Heaven Way Buddha Church. The Human Rights Activist Project introduced me to a network of passionate youth determined to make the world a better place. I began to think about how I would do the same. At the church, I worked with young children struggling with language barriers and helped them with their core subjects. Volunteering at the church helped me realize my interest in teaching and helping others. My experiences as a volunteer showed me that I love building connections with other people. I also learned that I am interested in a career that involves teamwork, communication and creativity.
I am extremely excited to develop as a professional as well as build meaningful connections. As I navigate personal and professional challenges, I will continue to push myself to step outside of my comfort zone. America Needs You will undoubtedly help me to achieve my goals.
