I was born in Brooklyn, New York but spent most of my childhood in Morelos, Mexico, where my grandmother raised me while my parents remained in the United States. My parents originally immigrated to the United States with the dream of earning money to build a beautiful home for our family back in Mexico. However, my parents ultimately decided there may be more educational opportunities for me in the U.S and made the difficult choice to remain in New Jersey to ensure I received the best education possible. I rejoined my parents in Bayonne, New Jersey at the age of seven.
I have always excelled in math and during my first semester at Kingsborough Community College, I discovered my passion for aviation. I dream of one day becoming a pilot with the United States Air Force. I will pursue my lifelong dream by majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I not only want to fly the world’s fastest airplanes, but also want to help create them.
Pursuing my chosen career path is not an easy goal and I sought out the America Needs You Fellows Program to help me attain this goal. I want to be pushed to my limit and be the greatest leader that I can be. I believe that with the help of the workshops and my experienced Mentor Coach, I will achieve what some may consider a dream, but for me is my life’s mission.
