I attend the City College of New York, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. My interest is in pre-med and I hope to one day find a cure for asthma. I suffered from asthma as a child, which made it difficult for me to have a normal, healthy childhood. I could not go outside and play because I needed to have access to a nebulizer. The only safe place was home. I remember the sleepless nights with my mom, thinking about the day it will all be over and we can just go back to having a normal life. It was not easy, but it made our relationship stronger. Today, I am healthy and strong and hope to cure asthma for the next generation.
I am a very open-minded person. Although I am on a pre-med track, I am also considering other careers. For instance, in 2014, I was a PENCIL Fellow and successfully completed a summer internship at SIFMA Foundation where I worked to support the daily operations and its educational program. This interests me because I enjoy learning about the stock market and financial literacy.
As an ANY Fellow, I would like to explore a variety of fields. I believe that with the help of my Mentor Coach and ANY staff, I can achieve my professional and personal goals. I am thrilled to see what is out there for my peers and me.
