My parents decided to immigrate here to the United States in 1998 to provide their children with better opportunities. My parents’ hope for a better future through education regardless of being exposed to an extremely different environment propelled me to take a keen interest in my studies. I am currently a student at Baruch College pursuing a Finance degree and a minor in Economics. My parents’ aspirations inspired me to strive for a position with the Federal Reserve. My first macroeconomics class in high school has since influenced me to follow current events of the economy. I enjoy working with economic and business models and theories.
Although I really enjoy economics, I do not use all of my free time to build economic models. I played in my high school’s varsity softball team and still enjoy playing it unofficially. I am also an avid writer; I especially enjoy writing short stories, one of which earned me a scholarship. I also love playing tourist in my own city and photographing different environments.
Looking ahead, I am eager to acquire all the professional skills and networking opportunities through ANY. I joined the Fellows program to receive the invaluable one-on-one guidance from Mentor Coaches, which is not available anywhere else. By combining the knowledge and opportunities provided by the ANY staff and Mentor Coaches, I am confident that I can achieve my goals successfully.
