I was born in Guyana and moved to New York City when I was five. My mother wanted to provide more opportunities for my siblings and me. Continuing her journey, I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Macaulay Honors Lehman College.

Aiding others in conflict resolution excites me. I have always been an active listener and enjoy helping people overcome their difficulties and hardships. My roles as a Daycare Assistant and Camp Counselor have provided me with skills such as patience, organization, communication and leadership. As a College Assistant, I enjoyed learning about client confidentiality and how to manipulate and update information using Microsoft Word and Excel. I hope to work in a profession where I can successfully combine all of these skills.

I work hard to achieve academic success and accomplish my career goals. America Needs You will help me to attain my professional goals by giving me the platform to do so. ANY will open my eyes to different careers in the field of psychology and enable me to practice professionalism through mock interviews and other scenarios. I am also excited to be paired with a Mentor Coach who will help guide me towards a bright and successful future.
