I was born in Egypt and then moved to New Jersey, where I attend Rutgers University. I am pursuing a degree in Statistics/Mathematics and Economics, as well as a minor in Labor Studies and Employment Relations. Growing up, I struggled in math courses and was not interested in the subject. However, I fell in love with economics through the Fed Challenge competition, and then realized how dependent the field is on mathematics and statistics. As my passion for economics grew, I knew I would have to develop my analytical skills in order to build a solid understanding of the field. I decided to pursue a certificate in Quantitative Economics at Rutgers.
On top of my academic studies, I am a Resident Assistant, where I help students grow academically and socially. Nothing has given me a more fulfilling feeling than knowing the impact I have made on others.
I have interned in the marketing, insurance, and financial services industries. Through these internships, I became fascinated by financial markets and challenges in business strategy and growth.
