My parents’ number one goal was always to provide me with the best future. Therefore, they raised me to value responsibility, education, and hard work. Such values drive my interest and pursuits and played a role in pushing me to be the first in my family to attend college. I attend Baruch College, working towards a degree in Finance and a minor in Communications.
My dream is to work in the financial service industry. My interest in finance was influenced by working in a family owned mechanic shop, where I witnessed how the success of a small business can bring larger scale change to families and communities.
To accomplish my future goals, I thrive to succeed not only academically, but also personally.
I am involved in many extracurricular activities including the Urban Male Leadership Academy Scholars Program, which focuses on helping Black and Latino males in college by developing leadership skills. In addition, I am involved in many organizations such as Streetwise Partners, a program geared towards developing skills necessary to excel in the professional environment. Most importantly, as a Fellow at America Needs You, I plan to use program’s resources to network, expand my knowledge of the finance world, and receive internships. Finally, the network and skills I’ll gain from ANY will help me find a way to give back to my community.
