There are huge differences between my home country, China, and the United States. For example, there are different languages, societies, and various cultures.  A lot of things were changing when I moved to the United States, but my passion remains the same. When I was little, I liked to break up machines such as controllers, televisions, and keyboards. I also like the sounds of engines. The deep sounds created by the combination of gasoline, heat, and gears energize me. Even though engines cannot talk, they can make sounds. People can determine the quality of an engine by listening to the sounds that made by the engine. Now, I am carrying that passion to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a Mechanical Engineer.

Currently, I attend City College and I intend to pursue a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently seeking internships related to this field. America Needs You will not only provide the mentorship but also help me to improve my social skills such as public speaking and elevator pitches. These two elements are essential for me to succeed in the future. More importantly, ANY is a great platform to meet various people who are interested in different fields so I can learn from them.
