As a native New Yorker raised in Staten Island, diversity has always surrounded me. Specifically, coming of age in a multiracial family of European and Caribbean descent shaped my understanding of the world as well as my deep empathy for humanity. It fostered my love of engaging with other cultures and illuminated my desire to become a catalyst for change, tackling the crises of my generation. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Macaulay Honors College at the College of Staten Island, I aspire to be a Fulbright Scholar in order to conduct my own research in Spain and Germany. I would love to explore the idiosyncrasies of language and how verbal communication impacts everyday life in these countries. In fact, my passion for cross-cultural learning with social justice implications has unearthed previous commitments in cities as diverse as London, England and Washington D.C.

I am currently exploring the intersections of varied fields such as science, research, language and art with the goal of unlocking an intellectually stimulating career path while finding transformative solutions to issues that plague historically underserved communities.

As an active and ambitious student on the verge of navigating a professional career, ANY provides an environment of possibilities and hands-on practice where I can engage with experienced professionals. I will be armed with the necessary tools to challenge myself beyond areas within my comfort zone and exercise leadership qualities to ultimately arrive at a place of preparedness and confidence.
