I grew up in New York City with Haitian parents who taught me the importance of education, discipline, and hard work. My parents always told me that it is only in a dictionary where you will see the word “success” come before the word “work”. In other words, success does not come until the work is done. This is the mindset with which I enter America Needs You and work to pave the road for my career.
Currently, I am a student at Kingsborough Community College and plan to continue my education at a senior college and obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Registered Nurse license. I enjoy the challenge of nursing, especially in critical care. I became passionate about this field after observing clinical settings through a high school program and witnessing the daily challenges nurses manage. I deeply respect the relentless work that is put into their craft to provide top quality care to patients.
Through America Needs You, I hope to develop the skills needed to succeed in the workforce. I am excited to work over the next two years to become a well-rounded professional and individual.
