In 2011, I moved to the United States with a big dream to be professionally and personally successful through education, which I consider to be the backbone of this country. However, while my dream of becoming a better version of myself has started to take shape, it did not come without its own set of obstacles along the way. It was hard for our family to spend time together because of our demanding work schedules. However, I believe that all of my personal obstacles further inspire me to reach my goals. I currently attend two schools to pursue a certified degree in Medical Assistance at Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center and am studying in Liberal Arts at LaGuardia Community College.
I love to help people. Every day I feel happy if I can help one more person. I volunteered at Marcus Garvey Nursing Home where I found that I love to help older adults. My goal is always support as many people as possible. This led me to pursue a career in nursing.
Being an ANY Fellow will help me achieve my long-term goals. I will build my network and expand my knowledge of the professional world. Also, after having two years of experience with ANY and internship opportunities I will be on my way to becoming a great leader in the future.
