I am a rising sophomore at Montclair State University, aiming towards a degree in Public Health along with a concentration in Community Health Education. My strong interest in healthcare services, counseling, and education began at an early age. For that reason, I took a medical assisting class in high school to further my knowledge about becoming a medical professional. Since then, I have had the opportunity to volunteer at nursing homes, hospitals, and work for a summer program for children with disabilities. After working with a variety of people, from all ages, my passion for becoming a health advocate grew stronger. Not only do I want to minimize the health disparities in this country, but also help people across the world. Therefore, my career goal is to work for the United States Department of Health and Human Services and also at a non-profit organization.
