Growing up in a country considered to be third world has really been enlightening. I’ve experienced several setbacks such as lack of proper infrastructures and educational materials, which have motivated me to take full advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. Having lived in different African countries, I have learned a lot and this has shaped me into who I am. I enjoy learning about other cultures and the politics that govern different areas because I believe that to truly understand a nation or a group of people you have to understand their culture and their way of life. Hence, I major in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Philosophy at Kingsborough Community College (KCC).

In addition to being a history and cultural enthusiast, I am extremely passionate about the environment and issues related to protecting and preserving nature. This has made me actively involved in the Student World Assembly club on campus as a result. I have grown tremendously while attending KCC and have taken on multiple leadership roles. I currently serve as Vice President of the Student Government body as well as a Student Ambassador.

Having acquired leadership skills through various activities and programs, I look forward to learning core values and professional etiquette from ANY in preparation for the future while working hand in hand with my mentor. I believe with the numerous opportunities offered by ANY to its Fellows, the program will have a lasting impact on me.
