As a foster child, I switched schools often and lived in many neighborhoods throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Though my upbringing may have been difficult, I have always looked beyond my own adversities and sought to make a better world not just for myself, but for everyone.
By applying the same love for basketball that I had in high school towards my academic pursuits, I was accepted into The Macaulay Honors Program at Baruch College where I am a Hertog Scholar, a member of the Macaulay Business Club, Macaulay Global Brigades, and also pursuing a degree in International Business & Finance. Through being exposed to different experiences in life, subjects in and out of the classroom, and conversations with people throughout the professional world, I wish to become a versatile human being and expand my interests and knowledge of finance, law, politics, and international affairs. I believe that my wish to serve my community, society, and global economy embody my dream of making a difference in the world.
Through America Needs You, I hope to enhance my public speaking, leadership, and professional skills so that one day I may serve this world. Even more so, during this pivotal period in my life, I wish to enjoy myself with those who will always be a part of me along the way, whether that is the ANY Staff, Mentor Coaches, or Fellows.
