“Comfort doesn’t build character. Hard-work and humility does.” These are words that my father shared with me and have stayed with me throughout my life. While I was growing up in Jersey City, my parents often told me stories of their hardships of poverty and persecution in Communist Vietnam. They instilled in me the values of hard-work and sacrifice and inspired me to pursue the education and career opportunities they never had.

In my high school years, I developed a curiosity for investing during my summer internship at Fidelity Investments. I became increasingly interested in the variety of investment instruments and strategies used to gain returns. My fascination with finance motivated me to work towards a Bachelor’s in Finance at Rutgers-Newark Business School. At Rutgers, I actively participate in the Student Managed Fund where I develop my modeling and critical-analyzing skills. In addition, I represent the Rutgers community in both education and athletics as a Rutgers Business School Senator and a Varsity Tennis athlete. During my freshman summer, I interned within Fidelity’s Treasury unit where I managed and investigated multi-million domestic and foreign transactions moving in and out of the firm.

Through America Needs You, I look forward to gaining valuable experience, knowledge, and support as I strive to accomplish my professional and personal goals. I hope to learn and prepare myself with the help of my mentors and colleagues for a career in Asset Management. As a Fellow, I will uphold the ANY brand and carry on its legacy for years to come.
