Upon completing my B.S. in Biology at Medgar Evers College, I plan to pursue my MD/PhD, focusing on pathology and research. My goal is to conduct research to improve treatment options for diseases and to contribute to the reduction of healthcare disparities.

My decision to pursue a career in medicine was influenced by witnessing, after a hospitalization at an early age, patients who were forced to call the hospital their home. Since then, I have made active strides to help the sick. I am a laboratory volunteer on campus, where I assist the technician and have gained research skills as well as an understanding of the procedures and organization of the lab.

After completing my college degree, I wish to serve as a medical volunteer abroad, so that I may be able to observe local professionals as well as practice the administration of simple medical procedures. In addition to my professional and academic pursuits, I am an avid lover of the performing arts, animation and cultural artworks.

America Needs You will equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to realize my dreams. The added support from my Mentor Coach and the ANY staff will help fuel my pursuits as I continue to shoot for the moon.
