Being the first person in my family to attend college is a privilege that keeps me humble every day. I attend Baruch College and am majoring in Accounting with a minor in Corporate Communications. I knew pursuing a higher education was going to be the key to my success. Having the ability to be a role model for my younger sister is the driving force for my efforts and accomplishments.
I’ve always been the type of student to take pride in working hard and succeeding, and who constantly surpasses my own expectations regarding academics. Knowing that my parents weren’t able to finish their education boosts my motivation to pursue a better future. I didn’t want to be a one-dimensional student, so I’ve taken on multiple leadership roles within my school. Being a part of Baruch’s Women Volleyball Team has broadened my perspective and has helped me become more social.
My professional goal is to work in a top tier company where I could continue to strive, oversee additional responsibilities, and solidify my position as an invaluable asset to the organization. I plan to enhance my skills and continue my involvement in professional associations, which would help me become a focused and polished professional. Regardless of where life takes me, I want to feel satisfied and proud of my accomplishments. By combining my education with my hands on experience, I will be able to find an area that best suits my abilities, values and interest.
