My dream is to help other people increase their over wellness and happiness. One way that this can be accomplished is through healthcare. I was inspired by my family to pursue a career in health and began volunteering at a hospital in order to gain more experience. I am currently a student at York College in the Physician Assistant program and my long-term goal is to earn a PhD in Physician Assistant Studies.
My desire to help people and my foreign language skills allow me to assist others in times of need. I am originally from Uzbekistan and came to the United States three years ago. I speak four languages fluently: English, Russian, Uzbek and Tajik. In addition to speaking four languages, I can also read Arabic and Korean.
The New York Fellows Program will help me improve my skills and pursue my career path. The program offers a lot of support such as networking opportunities and Mentor Coaches. I plan to take full advantage of this fellowship and look forward to growing personally and professionally.
