Bryan Garcia is the New York Program Director at America Needs You. Bryan oversees Fellow support, including successful mentoring relationships, professional development grants and attendance. Program participants may reach out to Bryan for guidance regarding financial and housing options, personal and emotional support, and overcoming unforeseen challenges.
Bryan has worked in the non-profit sector since 2010. Prior to joining America Needs You, Bryan worked for Community Mediation Services and Family and Children’s Association where he provided intensive case management and therapy services for disadvantaged youth in New York City and Long Island, New York. He implemented clinical and non-clinical techniques to outline specific behavioral guidelines to empower adolescents and family members to make well-informed, positive, and confident decisions.
Furthermore, Bryan reinforced a strengths-based and outcome-oriented approach with families to effectively manage crises and successfully divert youths from entering the New York State Court System. Bryan is a certified Moral Reconation Therapist and was the recipient of the Doris Grabosky Baccalaureate Award for academic excellence. His passion for working in the human services field and the non-profit sector was solidified while in these positions and continues to grow with America Needs You.
